Lawn Treatments 2013

Lawncare Man“Can you please come and treat my lawn” is a phrase we often hear from new customers. The ever increasingly popular need to treat lawns has led to an upsurge in the North West areas that we cover. We’re always delighted when we hear those words “come and treat my lawn” as it means we must be doing something right. To treat lawns you need the correct products and the correct tools. Time and again we fix lawns that have had either an overdose of fertiliser or the wrong weed killer or even off the shelf fertiliser which has heralded very little results. When we treat lawns we use professional equipment which calibrates the amount of product that goes onto the lawn. For example when treating lawns with lawn fertiliser we use either a hand spreader or a rotary spreader both correctly calibrated so as to ensure an even and correct distribution of lawn fertiliser. The same is true of our knapsacks which we use to treat the lawns for weeds or moss. The concentration of the solution is critical to avoid scorching or having a understrength soultion.

So what would it cost to treat my lawn?

Our prices start from £13 a quarter for a small lawn. For this you receive 4 treatments throughout the year

Spring Weed and Feed

Summer Weed and Feed

Autumn Weed and Feed

Winter Moss Control

*We offer extra treatments to lawns especially in the Southport and Fylde area where the sandy soils cause some problems. Also we offer extra moss control at the beginning of the year to help slow down moss growth which has been particularly bad this year.

These keep on top of weeds and moss and also promote healthy root structure, growth and colouring. So when we treat lawns we really do give you a service you’ll be happy to recommend. We hope the next time we hear “come and treat my lawn” the voice is yours. We look forward to your call.

Spring is in the Air

LLC Spring Flower

Well it would finally appear that we’ve turned a corner with the cold easterly winds dying back and the warmer weather coming through. You may have just about begun to see a little growth from your grass. Temperatures in the ground need to be 5 degrees Celsius before you see any movement really and I think we’re getting close to that now and certainly will do over the next week or so. A little bit of rain will also bring out the best in your lawn. So don’t worry overly about the slow growth at present as its just been a slow start to the year. Our lawn care will help to bring it back to its best.

We are still scarifying like crazy and but will be finished by the end of April. If you are still interested in booking your lawns to be scarified then we will begin again in September. Extra moss sprays will help slow growth in the meantime so don’t forget to give us a call if you’d like that.

Our customers should almost all have received notification of a Spring Competition which we are running so please enter as many recommendations as possible to be in the running for the top prize.

Online Bank Transfer Payments

We’ve decided to repost this blog article to help with the online payments.

We’d encourage as many customers as possible to make good use of this free and easy to use payment method. After adding in our details to your online banking account, i.e our bank account and sort code along with your reference number; you can then make payments at the click of a button. After a few customers commented on this I thought I’d better just help out in explaining how to make an online payment. If you would like to make an online payment, which let’s face it is cheaper than sending a cheque in the post, (have you seen the price of stamps nowadays??) then you need to go to your own banks website and make a bank transfer from there. You’ll find our bank details on every invoice that we give you. Unfortunately you can’t do it directly through our website or over the phone at the moment as we don’t have the resources to provide this service. Don’t forget to use your customer number as a reference so we can track the payments.

We hope this all makes sense. Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.

Look forward to seeing you all in the Spring.

Your Lancashire Lawncare Team
